20.11.2010 ~ A date to remember :)

20th November 2010....I am officially Mrs Imelda Joseph - Roscom.. :D

It is not an ordinary number. In fact, the date was chosen after our birth day, 20th April (me) and 11th Jan (Rex)... Our first Wedding Anniversary will be on 20.11.2011 apparently :) ..

How's my feeling after becoming a newlywed? - Okay, I received a lot of "a-must-question" 1 day right after my marriage especially from my colleagues. Those mischievous faces and meaningful smiles really caught me this time. I was like " oh...okay...I know what you all are thinking" ~ :P
I don't have to be so brilliant to answer the question! :D

Been reading a book we received as our wedding gift ~ So You're Getting Married by H.Norman Wright. Well, supposed to read it finished before our big day but it seemed like I have no intentions to read any books as my mind stuffed with all the preparations....:D

All right, will blog again some other time... :D ~

August Story

Yeah..I'm back again..
I've been driving back and forth with my "Silver Bullet" almost everyday and it was fun. I sighed sometimes for nothing. Well, musics can never be seperated from me ~~

August..August....it's almost come to the end of the year of 2010...so many things had happened and I, myself have started to realize the fact that ~ there's a change in me! Past things have really put me into the fact that life is not supposed to be wasted. I keep on going and learn to be wiser...

Okay, next story...

Up to Kasih Sayang Resort last night for a dinner ( farewell dinner I suppose..) with our German friend, Verena Duhr, and another down-to-earth guy from UK, Kit.
Behind us is an awesome full view of KK. The cool weather was just fine for me. We shared some stories about different cultures, jokes and laughs...
Well, Verena is leaving to German very soon..gonna miss her :)

Hey Mr. Prince Charming! You have captured our attention!
.....and here I am grinning with Mr. Frog... :)
~~~~
We went back around 10.30 pm and reached Borneo Backpackers ~ Tired ~
All right, I'm done here...will look up for another good time to blog.. :)
Cheers! ~
Another Day In Life
Strange-feeling strikes. I have nobody to play with my usual jokes and all those crazy deeds, sharing the deepest feeling to a person so very close to me - for 2 weeks.Well, this is not the first time. Hmm...hope you are fine in Maliau Basin. No phone lines - only satellite phone with limited network coverage. Everything will be fine.
Focusing on my driving which had left me exhausted...wake up early, had a light breakfast in the car and a bottle of mineral water, checking the lights, warm up engines and so on...I can say my driving still need better improvements. Hang on there.. this is just the beginning. I'll be better in time ~ hehe ~ Thanks to the lite n easy musics, it makes me feel better and calm every morning... :)
Music has been part of my life.. I just found out a Christian music band, Casting Crowns. I love their musics and the meaningful lyrics. It is all about life.
My latest addiction :)
Believe it or not, this is the thickest book I have ever bought and read in my life. (Of course my BIBLE is still the best!)
"Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer, author of The Twilight Saga : Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn.
Sinopsis :
To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another day by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fate of two tribes hangs.
My mind spellbound whenever I read the story line. I guess this is why it called the #1 Bestselling Novel. The author herself has a deep imaginary thoughts indeed. Perhaps the story are meant for the teenagers but I guess it had caught the attentions and minds from the readers not only teens but as well as adults and folks who put their interests on these kind of stories.
Somehow, for those who are not into romantic-fantasylike novel or stories, well, this might not be the best choice for them, even they would call it rediculous and doesn't make sense kinda thought but...oh yeah, I enjoy reading it! :)
Friendliness!
Rex (my fiance) has introduced me to his friends and colleagues which I easily get along with. Recently we went for a karaoke farewell dinner celebrating his colleague's last day of working. Stephanie Croymans, that's her name, a young Dutch lady who is fun-loving and easy-going person..she is such a nice "Ayam Putih".. hehe
We sang songs and laughed at the same time, do the crazy dancing on the floor and singing high-pitched songs was quite fun. The funny thing was, we were running out of water and to buy a bottle of small mineral water costs RM5 is crazy and a jug of water costs around RM21++!!?.... I rather drink the tap water instead,I thought, but I managed to get a glass of plain water which is free of charge, finally...! It really doesn't make any sense...
Oh yeah...the song which is about Alice.."...24 years living next door to Alice" by Smokies, I can't help myself laughing hearing them singing the song ..
" Alice?? Alice??...Who the f**k is Alice??! " Haahahaaha!!!!
Anyway, thanks to you peeps, you all really make my day! :D
I'm really looking forward to hang out with you guys again someday... :)
Planning
Date for the important days are set, most beautiful gowns booked and...what else?...counting the budget, dresses...woah!!..So many things need to be done..and I'm gonna be sooo busy starting from next month as my class(UiTM)starts around July....God, give me strength and wisdom to arrange things accordingly, Amen.
Well, the future is in God's hands...to build a family is not easy but as long as we have strong faith, we will realized that happy marriage is not in materials, or big house, big car, or big money...it's the ups and downs of life, arguments, laughters, understanding, respect, love, forgiveness and most of all to accept GOD as the Head of the family..that's where Love begins..
:)
This is what I feel...
I'm in a month of May..and I'm almost in the middle of the year!...I have so many things in mind this year. A bit of changes need to be done I guess...
Well, I was thinking to delete this blog and open a new one...this one has left me feel bored and old..I need something fresh and nicer!..Ahh...again, I will leave it 'till I got my high-spirited kinda attitude to start a new one *grin*..
Spending my time recording my own voice singing is kind of filling up the leisure...wel, since I got the software from my colleague, I tried to use it as my own entertainment and not for a real recording purpose...My voice isn't that nice enough....haha.. I only let my close ones around me to hear that.. :P
I got my nerves blown up when my boss did the same stupid things which had made me soooo...angry until I lost my temper and posted what had happened on facebook....maybe some of them know who I was talking about... I want to cry out loud but luckily a good friend of mine chatted with me through FB chat box trying to cool me down..(thanks Jason). Knowing that my reaction by posting my hot-tempered words to the facebook will only make things even worse.
.. anyway, as time goes by, and as usual me, I forgive all those who have wronged me. There's no reason to keep them. Just ignore....let God do the rest..
My artistic talent haven't been polished since the past few years...berkarat sudah la....Not sure if my art work still at my house or eaten up by those roaches....sigh.. Even my long lost friends whom I found in facebook still remember me and the first line they would asked me " ko masi pandai melukis kaitu.."...man....that was few years back since I haven't hold any of the paintbrush or various kind of drawing pencils.... I'll always end up telling them that I am not active anymore...hahaha...well, my talent still in me somehow but it just that I always keep it to myself and to my close friends :)
Hmm...it had always in my thought... I rather be somebody's special friend cause being a friend always make the relationship lasts and even you are hurt, it doesn't hurt you so much 'till you feel hopeless....this is why they never forget me :) I appreciate everyone I know though sometimes I have to make a little sacrifice just to see them happy and feel blessed.
One thing I still believe, my future is always in God's hands... :)
Well..this is just another story. Like it or not, this is only a simple sharing to those who know what the real life is all about.. Nothing I am, just a simple human :)
Beginning of December...
Okay...this is the day..1st day of December. When it comes to the month of D.E.C.E.M.B.E.R all we have in mind is Christmas!.. Yeah, we are happy about it especially when our love ones' faces popped out in our mind and thinking what activities to plan during the holiday.. It's just a feeling of joy and excitement for the upcoming season... :)
Secondly.... this question come out: "What to wear for Christmas"?... Well, for me, wearing my old jeans and a new top is enough. A bit of blusher, a bit of lip-gloss and a neat hairdo is enough along with a big smile on the face..
Somehow, Christmas is actually a day to remind us that apart from those materials, we are celebrating the Saviour's birth which the REAL happiness can be gained spiritually. We are the reason for the season..He came for us and He died for us.
So then, December is just an ordinary month. It is all depend on us how to make it special, and I thanked to God for keeping me alive and strong in every circumstances in my life.
Stressful Moment
I'm already at the end of the month of August... as time goes by, there's a lot of things appened. Well, congratulations to Jason for his newborn baby boy Jaden...Well, welcome to the world of parenthood! :)
Nowadays, my appetite keep on increasing...I had a big breakfast and lunch and I still keep on munching something and craving for something to eat even my stomach is full. Wah...!! Maybe that's because I am so stressed at the moment -- studying accounting subject that I am not interested at all!..
But above all, I will never give up easily on this.. I believe I can do it..!"By myself, I am nothing..but with God, I am everything!"
And the Harvest Queen is Vera, sitting in the middle, Me (1st Runner Up) and Debra (2nd Runner Up) ... It was just for fun :)
A day in the office
I was a bit free this morning then I managed to buy a Birthday Card for my boss to be signed by the staff for his upcoming 45th birthday... Now it already full with signatures and wishes from the staff and ready to be put on my boss's table by tomorrow morning...
In some way, sometimes I do feel uncomfortable and irritated by the boss...well, sorry to say this but some things are unacceptable when it comes to stressful moment. I got blurred which I did not know the head and tail about things that I should know, and most irritating thing is when it comes to a miscommunication, where I did my work well but then it turned to be upside down all because of a wrong info...then this is the part when I get scolded in front of the other staff (luckily they are really sporting).... It feels like I want to scold somebody and say those bad words..**sigh..** Gosh...I feel stupid, ashamed and it was like the volcano waiting to get exploded..
On the other hand, I might be lucky working under my boss's department which I never received so much complaints or arguments. The office would be the most relaxing place where I could surf the internet until my sleepy eyes could do the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) effectively..hahaha! (whoopppss! ) ... I'm not a slob, is just that when there's no work to do, I would get myself drifted by a restful slumber... (but I only do that during lunch hour...)
hehehe...
Okay, wishing all the best to u boss! Stay cool and don't get stressed too much bah bos...hehehe..Yappy Birthday!
Chap Goh Meh
Chap Goh Meh or Tzap Goh Mei represents the fifteenth and final day of the Lunar New Year period as celebrated by Chinese migrant communities. The term is from the Hokkien dialect and refers to the fifteenth day of the first month, which is the occasion of the first full moon of the New Year.
The occasion is marked by feasting and various festivities, including the consumption of
tangyuan. In traditional Chinese culture, it is also celebrated as the Lantern Festival or the Shang Yuan Festival. In Southeast Asia, however, it coincides with the Chinese Valentine's Day
It was a bit cloudy last night as soon as the rain stopped. Apparently, my friend and I were watching tv until 3.20 am and it was full moon. It was just like a spotlight from the sky brightened our place. Probably it would be nice if it surrounded by sparkling stars. Anyway, still I would say words to praise the Lord for everything. I am grateful to see His touch. Beautiful. :)
My favourite pet
First I thought.." mabuk ka ni kucing?.." Catnap as they say..hehe..macam mo garu saja tu leher dia..
Tongkungon oh tongkungon...
2009 sudah mari...Happy New Year!
Tongkungon..reminds me of my grandparents...they used to play this instrument while we were gathering at their house during childhood, sitting beside the 'ropuhan' ( fireplace) and watch them play while waiting for meals to be served...
I still remembered when I was questioning my dad.." Pa, apaini?" ( time belum pandai dusun language). " Tongkungon", my dad took it and played.." Gitar ka Pa? Lain juga...", I said with mischievous face. My Bapa senyum2 saja sambil concentrate main..ting tong ting tong ting ting tonggg.........sounds like a music with a bunch of gongs..
It makes me think..how proud I am to be a Dusun..:)
"The Tongkungon is a tube zither made entirely of large poring bamboo. A whole section of bamboo is taken and four to eight strips of the skin carefully undercut along the length of the bamboo between the nodes to form the string. Small pieces of cane or wood are placed under the strings at each end to alter their lengths and pitches. The names of the strings and the sound intervals between their pitches correspond to the Gongs in the ensembles of their respective communities. People often play the Tongkungon alone for personal relaxation or entertainment. It is also used to accompany dancing and is popular among the Kadazandusun community of Sabah."
